Subsidy, tax reimbursement and interest support for MSMEs and larger units in Chhattisgarh

Chhattisgarh Industrial Development Policy 2024-30

01 · What it is

The state's policy for 1 November 2024 to 31 March 2030, for units that start production or service in that time, according to the policy document on the state's investor portal, which lists it as the current policy. That copy is updated up to the department's notification of 27 May 2025. Press reports mention further amendments in January and April 2026 that are not in that copy and that we have not read, so rates may have changed. Some of the rate tables in our copy were hard to read, so the entries below give the structure and only the rates that were clear. The policy classes a unit by plant and machinery: micro up to ₹1 crore, small up to ₹10 crore, medium up to ₹50 crore.

02 · Who should check it

  • Interest subsidy on term loans from lenders the Reserve Bank recognises. Rates and limits depend on the area group (1, 2 or 3) and on whether the unit is general or thrust sector
  • MSME service units: incentives up to 150 per cent of the fixed capital invested, a capital subsidy of 35, 40 or 45 per cent by area group, full stamp duty exemption, and electricity duty exemption for 6, 8 or 10 years by area group
  • 10 per cent more subsidy for women, retired soldiers from the state, retired Agniveers, people affected by Naxalism and differently abled entrepreneurs, among others
